Chain Home (around twenty stations, steel towers more than 100 metres tall, range of more than 100 miles) and the raids of 12 August 1940: Wikipedia, "Chain Home" and "RAF Ventnor". Göring's words of 15 August 1940 ("It is doubtful whether there is any point in continuing attacks on radar sites, in view of the fact that not one of those attacked so far has been put out of action"): RAF Museum, "Radar: the battle winner".

The aircraft on the maps, the bomb and the close-up tower are drawings, not photographs. The pins show the Chain Home stations approximately. Maps: Natural Earth (public domain). Education only.
